Passion Week Events 2026
Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter
- Palm Sunday service (March 29)
- This is mostly a normal service, but we’ll sing songs about Jesus’ kingship and recall his triumphal entry for our call to worship.
- Good Friday service at Resurrection Church
- On Friday morning, we’ll join our mother church in Ottawa
- 10 am on April 3rd
- 130 Keyworth Ave at St. George School in Ottawa
- Saturday fasting
- Between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, anyone who wishes is encouraged to fast for part/all of Saturday.
- Two suggested topics for prayer for the day are:
- 1) For your neighbours to find out that Jesus has been raised from the dead to justify those who believe in him (Rom 4:28),
- 2) For us to repent of our sins in light of God’s kindness in the gospel (Rom 2:4).
- Easter Sunday (April 5)
- Invite your friends and neighbours to church to hear the gospel preached. This may be the one Sunday a year they are willing to come.
- We’ll have a potluck meal after church as we normally do on first Sundays. Let’s go all out with this feast.
- We’ll still pray during the service for your personal needs like normal, so make sure to submit them.
