Welcome weary souls into the warmth of worship.
Set Up
Greeters have it easy for set up.
- Locate bulletins (ask the pastor if you need help)
- Place a chair at sanctuary entrance
How to Greet
- Remain at entrance to sanctuary for the duration of the service to greet latecomers.
- Smile as people come down the hallway
- Introduce yourself and welcome people into the sanctuary.
- Give people a bulletin
- Sometimes there will be handouts in either French or English, so you may have to ask what language they need.
- Direct francophones to take a translation device if needed.
- Direct parents of young kids to take a children's notebook if needed.
- Do not hug people that you do not know, or people whom you are not sure if they are okay with that.
- You can offer handshakes instead.
After the Service
Talk with any new people whom you met if they are not connecting with someone else already.
